As it became known, Ravshanbek Umarov, mentioned in the video message, is serving his sentence in correctional colony No. 11 of the Navoi region. According to the information received, during the six months of this year, the convicted R. Umarov contacted his close relatives by phone 8 times, participated in long-term meetings 3 times and received parcels 4 times.

In order to clarify the circumstances indicated in the video message, on August 7 this year, the regional representative of the Ombudsman in the Navoi region, together with members of the Public Groups under the Ombudsman, visited correctional colony No. 11.

During the visit, an individual conversation was held with R. Umarov. During the conversation, the convicted R. Umarov stated that he had no objections to the living conditions, food, washing, medical services and other living conditions in the colony, that the appeals and letters written by him were sent to the appropriate addresses and there was no pressure on him. During the conversation, he stated that he was dissatisfied with the court decisions made against him, the regional representative gave legal explanations for solving the problem, the appeal was taken under control.

During a conversation with convict R. Umarov, he was asked if he wanted to leave a complaint about the actions of the colony employees or on other issues. He stated that he had no claims against the employees of the colony and did not intend to file a complaint.

It should be noted that the Ombudsman, his office and the regional representative in the Navoi region, together with the Public Groups under the Ombudsman, regularly make monitoring visits to Correctional Colony No. 11.

In particular, over the past period of this year, the regional representative of the Ombudsman in the Navoi region, together with members of the Public Groups under the Ombudsman, made 6 monitoring visits to this colony. During these visits, the convict R. Umarov did not apply and did not leave any complaints.
