During the meeting, the guest was briefed on the main areas of activity of the Ombudsman. The parties discussed joint projects aimed at supporting civil society institutions and non-governmental non-profit organizations.

Ms. Sabine Machl acknowledged the reforms initiated by the President of Uzbekistan to support women, expand their access to education, vocational training, and active participation in society, protect against domestic violence, reduce poverty, and promote gender equality. She also emphasized that as a result of these efforts, Uzbekistan’s position in international rankings is steadily improving.

At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed to further strengthen cooperation and implement new joint projects.
