The essence of her appeal was that she and her 10-year old daughter had been living for 5 years in a house in a state of disrepair, which seriously effects their health. This appeal was sent to the regional representative of the Authorized Person of the Republic of Karakalpakistan for Human Rights, Zukhra Reimova.
This was reported by the press-service of the Ombudsman.
When the regional representative along with the head of the sector, the head of the district department and the chairman of the citizen’s gathering visited the complainant’s house, she convinced that B.Z. was indeed living in very difficult conditions. The house is in disrepair, the roof is being eaten away by termites.
In addition, when it rains, the roof leaks, the house is always cold and damp, because the hearing system doesn’t work.
During the investigation citizen B.Z. stated she couldn’t apply for a mortgage loan for an affordable housing because she wasn’t employed, as she had to have a full-time job to pay her bills on time in order to receive the loan.
With the assistance of the regional representative of the Authorized Person of the Republic of Karakalpakistan for Human Rights, Zukhra Reimova, the applicant was temporarily provided with an apartment located on the territory of the Eliabad citizens' gathering, which is on the balance sheet of the city administration.
Measures are currently being taken to ensure that citizen B.Z. is permanently employed in her profession.
