The Authorized Person of the Oliy Majlis for Human Rights (Ombudsman) Feruza Eshmatova and members of the delegation, who arrived in the city of Bursa at the invitation of the Turkish Ombudsman to participate in the Constituent Assembly of the Association of Ombudsmen and National Human Rights Institutions of Turkic Speaking Countries, met with the Governor of Bursa Yakub Kanbolat, Osmangazi Meri Mustafa Dundar and Mayor of Bursa Alinur Aktash.

The Authorized Person of the Oliy Majlis for Human Rights (Ombudsman) at a meeting with the administration of Bursa touched upon the ongoing reforms in the Republic of Uzbekistan related to the protection of human rights and freedoms. It was noted that the creation of the Association of Ombudsmen and National Human Rights Institutions of the Turkic-speaking countries will serve to further strengthen the interaction of national human rights institutions of the Turkic-speaking states and is an urgent issue of the present time.

During the meeting, the Turkish Ombudsman noted the special significance of the choice of the city of Bursa when creating the Association of Ombudsmen and National Human Rights Institutions of Turkic Speaking Countries, mentioning that Bursa is closely connected with the Turkish world, and that the city of Bukhara is the connecting line of the Turkish world.
